Spray Paint Station

Well, in all my computer down time, I was able to do a little organizing around here.  Can anyone relate to me when you see this picture?

IMG_6531 How about this?

IMG_6532 Well, as I was looking around for a can of white, I had had enough.  Off to Goodwill I went.  Alright, not really.  I stumbled on this (brand new in box), but I knew it had a role in my garage. I was especially pleased when I found it on Target’s website for $30.00.  I only paid $12.00.

I mean really.  How many cans of black or white does one person really need?  Obnoxious…yet, somehow necessary!

I bought these little green bins from Pottery Barn outlet a year ago.  I KNEW they’d come in handy someday!  The power of patience!  This one houses my sanding sponges.  I. swear. by.them.

She’s so shiny.  And pretty. Oh…and functional.

Off to do some more things!  I’ve got some blog catching up to do!

  1. That is a great shelf. I need to do SO much organizing it is not even funny. My scrapbooking closet is in dire need.

  2. I have had that exact shelf for at least 8 years if not a bit longer! I love it. It started off in the bathroom for towels, but has been in a craft space, basement for laundry stuff, and is now in a weird closet in my kitchen as a little pantry shelf. Enjoy it!

  4. I love spray paint! I just can't get enough...especially the black!
I tend to buy the cheaper kind...The ones for $1 a can (simply because I go through it like Kool-Aid!)
    Gotta love organization!

  5. Your the only person that I know who can take paint cans and sanding sponges and make them look pretty. My hat is tipped to you! ... if I wore a hat...

  6. Ooh, Ooh! Do tell about those sanding sponges! Do you used them instead of a sander or in addition to. Where do you buy them? I'm looking at sanders right now for my gazillion furniture projects I need to do, but I'm cheap. Do you use one?

  7. Great way to organize... you have inspired me
Somehow it is so much easier to create... when everything is in it's place
That is of course until I am done creating then I just have to learn to clean up after myself LOL

  9. I'm happy to see that I am not the only one out there with a wreck of a garage! My husband is constantly stressed about the state of our garage. I love the spray paint organization!

I have also just discovered the joys of spray painting, however my 3 cans does not stand up to your lovely array of colours and black and white of course!

  12. A spray paint station! I just knew that your time-away-from-the-computer would yield some choice tidbits for us to see!

Would you come to my garage, please? Please?

  13. LOL, i love your spray paint station! you were cracking me up; our garage is extremely neat and tidy except for the corner where all my paints, supplies, and projects in waiting are! i think my husband might be plotting to do something about this, so i've been on a mad mission to get some projects done and clear out that space! question: do you redo large furniture pieces? if so, do you stick with the sanding sponges, or have you invested in an electric sander? thanks!

  18. I have been inspired!

And you can NEVER have too much spray paint (or duct tape, or scrapbook items, or...)

  19. Nice! And it doesn't take up a lot of space either! I know what you mean about the spray paint, I do it with a lot of things. When I'm in a store and I have to think, "Do I have this home? I'm not sure. Oh, I'll just pick it up, it won't go to waste". That's how I wind up with 6 of the same green craft paint!

  20. I am with you on the paint. But I just don't have an overload of spray paint ... gallon cans galore on my basement floor. I am now on a mission to paint every room. So far I have one bathroom and the kitchen done. The leftovers will go into smaller cans and then they will fit on the next to the cans of spray paint.
    Have a blessed day

  21. I've got to get me one of those. I started off storing my spray paint in a bin, but I outgrew it after just a few weeks. Now I have spray paint all over the place!

  34. Hi. Boy, am I glad you posted this. I have always thought that if I used spray paint, I was being, well, unimaginative or that I was cheating at, well, something. But I'd walk by the spray paint COLORS and my shopping cart would automatically slow down...I wanted them!

I finally bought some lilac spray paint for an Adirondack chair and some black for a project. And last night I fell asleep thinking about spray painting a cheap bookcase that one of my spawns is casting off...it's mine now! :)

Thank you for giving me "permission" to frolic with spray paint colors...because I'm lame that way, needing permission! What fun I'm going to have!
