What a Loss

Anyone who grew up in the 80’s just cannot deny the music of Michael Jackson.

Every performance of his was absolutely electric, and I will miss the possibility of anymore music from him.

And finally, I will never forget every detail of the moment I saw this performance.  Watch and remember.

  11. First Farrah Fawcett, now Michael Jackson. Everything happens too fast. The whole world mourns the death of these two stars. :(

  14. I still can't believe he's gone. When I hear songs like Thriller, I automatically have a memory I associate with it. I even had a red leather jacket and white glove as a kid. My Mom says it's just like when Elvis died. So sad!

  15. What? He's gone?? Yikes. I must be living under a rock. I remember I had a crush on him in the fifth grade. I remember my friend had a poster of him standing next to Brooke Shields. Ah...the strange memories we carry with us!

  16. it's sad, isn't it? no matter how you perceived him, no one can deny his great talent. i remember my mom saying at the time of his Billie Jean phase, "If I could dance like that, I could eat all the cheesecake I wanted...." Too true.

  17. Yes, I am very sad. Not just sad for his family, but sad we will never get to see him perform again. Never get to hear him sing again.

  20. Maybe I'm the odd ball here, but while he was talented, he was also a very questionable person. Anyone remember that he went to court for things he was accused of doing to young boys? While it is sad when ANY person dies, I won't be one of the ones looking back and saying that it was a "great loss".

Every day there are TRULY wonderful people that die that the world NEVER hears about. People that help all of humanity...not just someone who is a good singer or dancer.

Sorry if that offends anyone, it's just this one person opinion.

  27. Sad, sad day. I am so a child of the 80's and have so many memories that are centered around MJ songs. In 6th grade BFF and I had matching Michael Jackson-esque jackets and wore parachute pants. Sadly, true story. We thought we were hawt shit. Little did we know;)

  28. I guess that I never realized how much I really would miss the thought of him just being... he was THE maker of music, dance and songwriting. I truly believe that he is the whole reason why music touches our everyday lives in so many ways. May his legacy always live within all of us... what a superstar he was. May he rest in peace.
