This was my second choice. I just couldn't book the one I wanted fast enough. This one is by no means a failure. You done good, second choice.
What my kids don't know is that since we are pretty close to it, we are going to surprise them with a day here.
We've decided just to wait until we actually pull into the park before we "tell" them, and I can't wait. This could very well be the best moment of the vacation for us. Granted, we only have one day to see what would normally take a good two weeks to do, but who knows when we'll get back down there. So...anyone been to Magic Kingdom and want to suggest the "must-sees"? And Cinderella's castle? #1 on the list, of course. I have a princess in training.

Oh PRETTY! Looks like a good time, for sure! I grew up in Orlando and have been to Disney many, many times. However, I've only taken my kids once... and it's been awhile... so I have no suggestions. lol Other than wear comfy shoes, prepare to spend a LOT of money and wait in long lines. Aren't I the party pooper? We are going to Universal Studios this weekend. My bro-in-law works there and gave us free passes. I haven't been to Universal since it opened 17-18ish years ago. When are you off on your vacation?
That will be SO cool! I love springing surprises like that on the kids! I'm a west coast girl so I know more about Disneyland, but I'm sure you'll get some great tips!
Your kids are going to absolutely think you are the coolest parents ever when you pull up to Disney! Wow!! What a wonderful surprise. That hotel looks heavenly...I need a vacation...
Telling them last minute is a great idea! We live near Orlando, and we've made the mistake of telling the kids before every time we go. My children do NOT sleep due to so much excitement, and then talk non stop, and are just nutty. :) Next time, we are keeping it quiet. Another problem, is they know the route there, with all the landmarks...blindfold them? HAHA Have a fanstatic time.
Bring water- it's HOT HOT HOT.
A must see attraction is Mickey's Philharmonic show. It's a 3D show, awesome! Oh...and Once you get to Disney, if you get there early enough you'll see the princess show, after that- I highly recommend going to your right and seeing the park that way. Going to the right will bring you to many of the ride attractions which are best seen when everyone is alert. Towards the end of the day you will be exhausted.
Have fun!
Oh wow! what a wonderful place. the view is awesome. Have a great time. The suprise for the kids is exciting, even to me. I can invision myself staying at this condo. too cool...
