The good news is that I have carved out ONE corner of the garage because I just couldn't stand the wait any longer. My laundry room has some really good storage, but rolls of paper towel, toilet paper, and light bulbs were taking over. So....I present you the following:
I built this sucker with my bare hands (and a little help from a handy 8-year old!), and I couldn't be more in love with it! Need more paper towel? Why, let me just step out my back door and grab one. Light bulb burned out? I'll just reach into this cute little paisley basket and grab another! Wee hee! I chose the covered container for our garage "rags" (brand new and oh so colorful) so bugs and such won't get on them.
I'm always looking for places to put my galvanized buckets or containers for things, and this is the perfect spot. The pics don't do it justice in all it's "shine-i-ness", but it's so pretty! I find myself with a huge grin on my face everytime I approach the door.
It may not be hand-sewn curtains or a painted dresser to show off, but organization like this is my slice of heaven. I hope you can appreciate it!

Oh no - I can appreciate that to the point where I'm thinking if you are anything like me, you bought the Bounty towels because the packaging matched your color scheme! (That is how crazy I get about things like that!) I've got to get to work on my garage now...this just gave me the extra incentive!
And it's my litle slice of heaven, too! Great job!!!!
It's looking great! I love that shiny shelf!
Looks really nice! I need some shelving like that too. I like the organization just as much as I like the painted dressers and hand sewn curtains so thank you very much! Keep up the good work and enjoy your organized area.
Oh yes! The joy of new organization. It's so pretty. So new! So wonderful! Love it! Good job!
Kris, I didn't notice the color matching, but I like the way you think!
Thanks for visiting my blog. I need to be more thankful that I am at least have time to tackel a messy house :) Anyhow, your blog is darling, I love the nicely organized shelf, especially the cute baskets. You have great taste in movies by the way.

My husband is a tool collector (ok so he used to own a construction company, but still, he need to get rid of them so i can have a space to put all of my containers!!
Love Love Love it!!! Where did you find such great baskets? I need to do this!
I'm posting this here so that you'll be sure to see it but it's actually in response to the post where you make a daughter flavored pizza. I have a feeling that your daughter read the book "Pete's a Pizza" in school that day. Ask her...if not, she'd love the book I'm sure! I'm going to search for pictures of your enormous dog now! :)
I found the baskets at Marshall's, but they had some similar ones at TJMaxx, as well. I do love me some baskets!
Looks great..followed you from another blog!
Bravo for a couple posts down of your laundry room. I don't know if I could post those!
Organization, oh my heart skips a beat. I would organize every inch of my house if I could. I love the shelf! And the bins to hold items are great!
that garage looks GORGEOUS - you are great at making things look beautiful AND functional :)
I followed your comment from Aby Garvey's blog, BTW
