I had a great time visiting my mom. We shopped until we dropped yesterday. I would like to prepare you for what I am about to tell you. It is so amazing that it really deserves a post all to itself. I have been looking for a daybed to go in our downstairs guest bedroom (that isn't done, mind you). I had narrowed it down to a beautiful one in Crate and Barrel for $650.00. You know...pocket change. My mom (who really doesn't appreciate how lucky she is) lives a few minutes from a Pottery Barn outlet. Needless to say, I was filling up my cart, and I spotted this:
It is currently listed for $699.00. Uh, wha? The one in the outlet didn't have the cushions, so they marked it down. and down. and down some more. It was ticketed for (drum rolls here) $77.00. Here's the best part--I had a $50.00 gift card. For all who are mathematically challenged, that means I bought this sucker for $27.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!It's listed at almost $700.00, and I got it for $27.00!!!!!!!!!! Did you hear that, world?! When we loaded it into the car, my mom and I literally did a happy dance and high-fived in the parking lot. We. were. giddy.
As I said, this really deserves a post. I will come back later to show you all the other great finds from my no-power weekend. For now, please enjoy my savings splendor.
