I know. It's early.

I did a stupid thing today. I went to Martha Stewart online. She has this countdown to Halloween where she'll e-mail (I say that as if she's the one who actually e-mails) a new idea for Halloween every day. Well, sign me up! Who cares that it's 90 degrees today? What's it matter that I have a sunburn from mowing the lawn? Bring on the holiday decor!

Anyone remember this from Pottery Barn's fall catalog last year? Uh, yeah. Me too. They had these "boo" letters framed last year, and I couldn't find a picture of them anywhere. I think it might be on that shelf area to the right.
I found this, though. I love holiday decorations that just blend into your existing decor! I want it to say Happy Halloween without being too, you know, halloween-y. I said weeny.

What I love about Martha's stuff (besides everything) is how it can be done by us. She may pay a pretty penny for her special stock of supplies, but we can duplicate, right? I buy the Halloween edition of her magazine every year. If I had ANY idea how to scan a picture, I would show you my favorites. For now, you'll just have to go with what I found on the web.
All pictures courtesy of Pottery Barn, Better Homes and Gardens, and Martha Stewart--well, duh.

I saw a ton of Martha things at Wal-Mart today and I thought "I am soo copying that." I am not giving that woman another dime. I just want her ideas!

I JUST noticed the baby! (DUH!) Whose baby is that? You vacay was that good huh? Are you caught up on laundry? I NEED TO KNOW!

I am ready for Halloween too - bring it on. I love Halloween decorations and I adore Pottery Barn!

Kris, I have no idea whose baby that is. Someone with lots of laundry, I guess. Of course I'm not caught up on laundry. That would be too easy. My husband had to order the part blah, blah, blah. Let's just say I'm going to buy some new underwear tomorrow!

There you go again cracking me up! :) Halloween is a bit away...but future planning may not be a bad thing.

I too love how these decor ideas blend into existing stuff in our houses. We sure can duplicate.

Happy Thursday!

I love to decorate for Halloween...maybe because my oldest was born on the 31st. I know some people hate it when they see stuff put out in the stores so early but with 24 days of over 100 heat it reminds of (hopefully)cooler days ahead.

I love Halloween! I have an October birthday and grew up feeling like the celebration was a month long;) My oldest was also born the day after Halloween so for the last couple of years she has had a costume birthday party. Fun! Thanks for the Martha tip! I want her to email me:):) Oh, and thanks for the positive comment you left for me:)

Oh yay! I am a Halloween nut! I am definately going over to Martha's sight today to sign myself up. I have that same picture from Pottery Barn. LOVED how they framed the letters to spell Halloween words. I know it's not for coming up for a while but, I'm already thinking about it too!

I *may* have that Pottery Barn catalog saved from last year. Sometimes they are so good I can't part with them. :o) I love the picture of the "boo" under glass. Is that one from Better Homes and Gardens? I may save that one in my file of "things I love but will never get around to doing" if you don't mind. :o)
