I. am. spent.

I'm pretty sure I mentioned that I have a lot of projects going on right now. Well, as it turns out, Kimba's having a Halloween party today, and I wanted to be there! I always miss the parties, but not this time! Soooo...I went to work today.

Cherry (yes, I've linked to her a lot lately) inspired me with a spooky clock some time ago. I fell in love with it, and I've been scrounging the consignment shops ever since. THIS is what I found.
Ummm...not really my taste--especially since we all know how I feel about my dog. It must first be "spookified" with some black paint, and then the fun begins.
Here is the final product!
I really wanted a witch on the face of the clock (like Cherry, of course), but I could only find one for $3.00. It was twice as much as I paid for the clock! Therefore, the bat--that I already had.
Some .77 cent house numbers from Wal Mart are a nice addition. I need to age it a bit yet, but the glue isn't even dry yet! Nothing like finishing under the wire for the party, eh? :)
Because I want to make it very clear that I am not a snob when it comes to copying, I will show you my $2.08 project I copied from Joy. I bought the frame at the dollar store, bought a few chipboard letters, painted them, and put them up against some spider web paper. TA DA!! Doesn't it look cute in front of Frank? Original name...I know. Now for the masterpiece. Remember this inspiration?

Well, it may have taken me longer than I wanted, and I may have nightmares about glitter for the next six months, but here it is!

I promise you it looks 1 million times better in person, but I could NOT get a good picture of it! I bought all the bones at the dollar store, so I'm feeling pretty good about the money I did NOT spend. Bill (as my daughter named him) has now found a home next to Frank in the dining room. I can only imagine the conversations they're having in there.

It is 12:19AM, I have to get up in 5 hours, and I realized at about 11:43PM that I could have just joined the party with my mantle post. A little frustrated with myself? You bet! Enjoy!

seriously love how you altered the clock - it turned out fabulous!

next time if you want a witch, you can google a witch silhouette, enlarge it however big you need it and trace it out. - i've done that for various objects - it's free vs paying $$$ at a scrapbook or craft store.

also love the glitter skeletons - very cool.

The Green Guy under glass is way cool. Did you use a spray adhesive and then pour glitter on him? He looks GREAT!

sleep is overrated! My hubby always says that you can sleep when your dead. Of course, this refers to when he goes fishing, and to my crafting! i love the glitter! it looks so fantastic-creepy good. So-did you spray the skeleton parts with some sort of spray so it wont come off and you can save them from year to year? i am not a glitter girl-but I am really liking the "NEW" and improved glitter-so I am thinking I want to make something. Let me know!
The clock is super cute as well. I couldn't find a witch cutout either-I just went online and found one that I liked (better homes and gardens site) then i just made a stencil. It was way way cheaper than buying a pre die cut! I love your clock more than mine, thats it, I am redoing. I am such a freak! Maybe I should put my head under a dome!

ps-looks like you need to do a glitter tutorial! Look what you started!
