I'm pretty sure I mentioned that I have a lot of projects going on right now. Well, as it turns out, Kimba's having a Halloween party today, and I wanted to be there! I always miss the parties, but not this time! Soooo...I went to work today.
Cherry (yes, I've linked to her a lot lately) inspired me with a spooky clock some time ago. I fell in love with it, and I've been scrounging the consignment shops ever since. THIS is what I found.
Ummm...not really my taste--especially since we all know how I feel about my dog. It must first be "spookified" with some black paint, and then the fun begins.
Here is the final product!
I really wanted a witch on the face of the clock (like Cherry, of course), but I could only find one for $3.00. It was twice as much as I paid for the clock! Therefore, the bat--that I already had.
Some .77 cent house numbers from Wal Mart are a nice addition. I need to age it a bit yet, but the glue isn't even dry yet! Nothing like finishing under the wire for the party, eh? :)
Because I want to make it very clear that I am not a snob when it comes to copying, I will show you my $2.08 project I copied from Joy. I bought the frame at the dollar store, bought a few chipboard letters, painted them, and put them up against some spider web paper. TA DA!! Doesn't it look cute in front of Frank? Original name...I know. Now for the masterpiece. Remember this inspiration?
Well, it may have taken me longer than I wanted, and I may have nightmares about glitter for the next six months, but here it is!
I promise you it looks 1 million times better in person, but I could NOT get a good picture of it! I bought all the bones at the dollar store, so I'm feeling pretty good about the money I did NOT spend. Bill (as my daughter named him) has now found a home next to Frank in the dining room. I can only imagine the conversations they're having in there.
It is 12:19AM, I have to get up in 5 hours, and I realized at about 11:43PM that I could have just joined the party with my mantle post. A little frustrated with myself? You bet! Enjoy!

Very cute as always:) And I live with a "real" Bill and he can be quite spooky at times!
Your Halloween crafts look terrific! Thanks for the link back to me. I'm just happy to know that I've inspired you a little bit. I'm with Cherry, you need to give us the glitter tips you've learned.
Oh, and I love that little Frankenstein head too.
WAY TO GO Chris! The clock is just as cute as it can be. And "Bill" ...let's just say, I think I'm falling in love. (I hope you get my kind of humor by now). Anywho...you are one impressive gal. Loved it all.
M.L.
seriously love how you altered the clock - it turned out fabulous!
next time if you want a witch, you can google a witch silhouette, enlarge it however big you need it and trace it out. - i've done that for various objects - it's free vs paying $$$ at a scrapbook or craft store.
also love the glitter skeletons - very cool.
Love so many of your ideas! one my kids saw your green skeleton and went to the kitchen to get out my glass dome/pedestal cake plate so that I can make it too :)
just love it!!!
Just love that green glitter dude...lol...I just bought a green glitter candle that looks like his cousin :)
Love the clock, too, so funky cute!!!
Bella
That clock is amazing! Great job. Love the EEK all framed up in your dollar store find - quite adorable.
The Green Guy under glass is way cool. Did you use a spray adhesive and then pour glitter on him? He looks GREAT!

LOVE "Mr. Glitter Bones"...(that's what I call him).
I will email you and tell you where I've been...it has to do with me not taking my antibiotics, because I'm afraid of pills and my bacterial infection AND pink eye coming back with a vengeance,
Talk soon,

Cute projects, Chris! You Halloween girls are so funny with all the ghoulish things, but they are cute. I've just never gotten into much fall or Halloween decorating. Fun to see it all in blogland.
You always do such cute things!! Love the clock!!! I was going to get those bones from Dollar Tree, but they wouldn't fit well under my cake save, wish mine was deeper/taller.
Thanks for the heads up on the party!! I linked up too!! what fun!!
Happy Fall
~Tidymom

I LOVE your clock! What a cool idea! I also heart your glittery bones but I know that my girls would freak out and cry if they saw them...So no bones or skulls in our house (yet). :)
What a smart cookie you are! That clock looks great and you did a terrific job on the glittered skeleton! :) Love it!
More cute projects! I just can't keep up with you talented ladies. :-)
That is amazing! I was inspired to try to make the glitter bones. I found the hands and bones at the dollar store but couldn't find the scull. Hopefully mine turns out as lovely as yours.
Great projects! You have been very busy. I love the clock. I saw the EEK pictures and thought they were very cute too.
Bill is amazing....do you have green glitter....everywhere? Worth it....so....worth it.

I love your blog...you are so creative, glad I stopped by!
Wow! You have been busy! It all looks so great! Where did you get Frank? He is so funny?
I am very afraid of glitter. Did it get everywhere or was it not so bad? The bones look awesome!
LOVE your ideas... the clock transformation is AWESOME!
~Jen
You rock girly!
Totally!
Can I puh-leeze move in?
Really, you won't notice me.
I'm 6ft with red hair & a weight issue, I'll blend!
LOL
Great job!
sleep is overrated! My hubby always says that you can sleep when your dead. Of course, this refers to when he goes fishing, and to my crafting! i love the glitter! it looks so fantastic-creepy good. So-did you spray the skeleton parts with some sort of spray so it wont come off and you can save them from year to year? i am not a glitter girl-but I am really liking the "NEW" and improved glitter-so I am thinking I want to make something. Let me know!
The clock is super cute as well. I couldn't find a witch cutout either-I just went online and found one that I liked (better homes and gardens site) then i just made a stencil. It was way way cheaper than buying a pre die cut! I love your clock more than mine, thats it, I am redoing. I am such a freak! Maybe I should put my head under a dome!
ps-looks like you need to do a glitter tutorial! Look what you started!
Hoping you're not running on 'E' and feeling good this evening! You did an awesome job on the clock! How neat! And the green guy? He's so fun and funky! Love him! Happy rest of your week~ Les
The clock is so cute!! I love the green guy. My girls are terrified of anything spooky, so I have to wait a few years to make him!
The clock is fabulous! and the glittered bones are amazing...the time it took was worth it they look great!
The clock looks SO good! You did a great job and I love the bat!
Wow, just wow!
Love the clock, my list is getting longer with projects wanna-do!
Geez, thanks! ;) xo
Sorry I am commenting so far behind everyone. I was in deep pain from yard work. You did a fantastic job! That CLOCK! My fav is the EEK and Frank... He's so handsome...
The clock is great! May have to credit you with that when I copy you!
Love all the great Halloween projects!
Oh my gosh! I hardly know where to begin! You've got enough in here for 3 posts! That clock is fantastic! I seriously love it!
And Bill? He's too fabulous for words! I can only imagine how long you'll be finding green glitter in your house. But he's so worth it!
You are beyond awesome! Thanks for coming to my party.
Happy halloween!
Kimba
I love your version of Martha's glittered skeleton pieces. I'm looking for the pieces but have yet to locate them. I refuse to pay Micheal's prices.

Those clocks are awesome. Your decor is just too much fun! I love it, lady.
Ok, I think my problem is the vision in general. I did NOT see that cute clock coming from that really ugly dog one. SO cute! And Bill??! He is looking a little jealous but it is a lovely shade of green on him - Ack! LOVE THEM! I think I'm picking up more than I'm going to need to at the after Halloween sales and *I'll* be the one with too many projects copying all of yours from this year!
Brilliant!! I may just have to copy you and your sources!!
Linda
