The Perfect Table

If you don't subscribe to Lowe's Creative Ideas catalog yet, you SO need to. They have come up with what I consider the perfect table (say with echoes). Their website is not showing this picture for some reason, so I had to employ my fantastic photography skills to show you this. Bear with me.

As I type this, I'm shaking my head at the injustice these pictures do. It's gorgeous. You know my favorite part? The BURLAP runner! Oh my. Genius!

I'm all about "natural" decor, so the burlap paired with the wood, paired with the fresh greenery was right up my ally. Of course, the gorgeous table and chairs don't hurt. Why don't they have fingerprints all over their chairs like mine have?

Next up...a little sneak peak. Do you ever feel like you have about 30 projects going on, and you're always ONE ingredient away from having it done? Yeah. That's where I am. Lots of stuff that's almost finished. Bummer. However, can you guess what this is going to be?

Just in case...here's another angle. What? You can't tell?

Well, it's going to be THIS, of course! DUH!
I'm actually not kidding. This garland (well, last year's version) was the very first picture I ever saw on Nester's site. That was back in March. That means for the past 8 months, I've been prepping for this moment. I couldn't quite figure out the thickness of the actual garland, so I'm trying to stock up on those. However, the feathers? Yeah, in the bag. The fake greenery? Mine. Stay tuned...

P.S. (I do a lot of P.S's don't you think?) One more reason that I love blog friends? Like me, you care about the dumbest things--that's said with adoring affection, by the way. I can't tell you how many people have commented on my lack of finding pears for my Thanksgiving table. You should know that I have gone to Big Lots (they had nothing). I finally went to Bed, Bath and Beyond, and they had them!!! Wouldn't you know, I didn't have my coupon. Hopefully, I can make it back down there Wednesday. Thank you for your concern, girls!

I get that magazine from Lowe's and love it too! This is just your style. I bet the wreaths hanging by ribbon in the background would look great in that big window you have. I also plan on trying Nester's garland. Can't wait to see how yours turns out. I'm sure it will be fabulous!

I'm glad you finally got found your pears, even if you have to go back with your coupon. I love that runner. I'm doing burlap for TG, so I may just hang onto it and do if for Christmas -- that is, if we end up entertaining for Christmas. Love that! Come to think of it, I need to subscribe to the Lowe's magazine. Thanks for the info.

Did you notice that EVERY place setting has their OWN bottle of WINE?! That's my kind of party!

Funny, I live in the town w/ their headquarters, and since I moved here, I can't seem to get one in the mail. Hmmmm...The table is beautiful. I'm having the same problem getting a garland made. I think I'm doing to do one & add more stuff to it later...like next year

Can't wait to see your prettied up garland:) Good luck hosting Thanksgiving!! Just remember to take deep breaths and enjoy. Oh, and drink lots of wine too♥

Yep...the perfect table setting! I love that burlap, too. My sister did burlap drapery panels in her new house and they are FABULOUS! So simple, yet so elegant. Hey, I'm glad you found your pears...sorry about the coupon. Try, try, again.

p.s. I've found that I also do alot of p.s.'s. They make me happy!

Ok, definately signing up for the lowe's catalog. Where have you been getting your garland from?

Suzann said...

I get the Lowe's magazine, but I didn't get one with an awesome burlap runner! That is awesome!!!

Now, grab your coupons (ya know you can use one for each item you're buying) and go and get those pears.

You have no idea how much I dig feathers in my holiday decor. That mantle will look fab.

I live 5 minutes from Lowes and I had no idea they did this magazine! Thanks...I just signed up. I was there today and they have a great price on hand tied 20 foot fir garland that would be great to mix in as filler. I think we're all going for that "Nester" look this year!

That Lowes table is so neat. Love it! Bummer that my Miss Priss would tug that runner right onto the floor at her age though. Maybe next year I can play the table decorating game!!!
Happy Monday to you~ Les

I wouldn't expect Lowes to come up with something so pretty for some reason. It's so festive and inviting!

That table is gorgeous! Love all the details. FYI - BB&B will credit you for previous purchases if you take in the coupon with the receipt.

Excuse me while I wipe the drool off my keyboard. I love you lowes.

I'm glad you found your pears. Shows what kind of friend I am that I gave you know suggestions, sympathy, nothing. I made no comment at all about it. Maybe I can make it up to you by sharing this little tidbit. Did you know B&B&Beyond will take expired coupons & Linen & Things coupons? Okay, that probably doesn't make up for anything at all, since I'm sure everyone in the world already knows about that. Cheesy me. Well, have "peary" fantastic Thanksgiving! Ha...ha...lame.

Oooh, I'm getting ready to make my version of "The Nester Garland" tomorrow (no school tomorrow)! I've been planning and buying up a few things, so I can't wait to get in there in see what I can make! I can't wait to see yours!

I get that magazine from Lowe's but I haven't gotten that issue yet. Burlap always looks good and it's so cheap. I once had burlap curtains - they were beautiful but so itchy!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a fabulous Thanksgiving!

What a great idea! I love that runner!!! This is why I love blogging... you girls find the neatest ideas! Now I've got to start following through with some of these ideas.... I feel totally inferior to all of you crafting geniuses. :)

Oh man, that garland. Jeeze Louise. It's GORGEOUS! I can't wait to see how you do yours.

I got the mag a few times then it stoped coming. I wonder if it's because we live so far from one or if they know Mr Blarney works for a competitor? Hmpf. We did buy a good amount of tile from them because they were the olny ones who had it in stock ... that's gotta count for something right!
PS - I love the ps's! ;)

I totally want to do a Nester garland myself. Where did you find the feathers?? I think that's one of my favorite parts.

What a beautiful table! It is what I would do if I had a dining room table we don't use all the time. My kids would destroy that while doing their homework. Sad! I love the garland on the mantle! I can't wait to see yours!

That garland is beautiful... the magazine sounds great.

Can't remember if I've commented here before or just lurked a LOT but did you know that BB&B coupons never expire? My MIL told me that she keeps about 10 of them in her glove box, expired or in date, and uses them whenever and that they will all honor them. 'Course you seem in the know about stuff and therefore not as lame as myself and already have this checked off in your brain. ;) Can't wait to see your finished garland.

I LOVE the greenery with the burlap. Awesome. I'm doing a burlap runner for Thanksgiving with pinecones/white pumpkins/orange berries for my centerpiece. I think I'll use the burlap for Christmas as well! Thanks!

I subscribed!! I L-O-V-E a good magazine, and I figure, the more the merrier! Actually, my mom gets these in the mail, so I look at them occasionally when I'm over {and sometimes snag them!}, but just never thought to subscribe.

Check!

I hear you on the project front. I'm currently at my in-laws, so I'm trying to keep my mind off of all the wonderful things I want to finish at home. BUT!!! I am finishing my December Daily. That's good. Because it's almost here!

I'm gonna post pictures tomorrow if you're interested. :)
