Okay. Apothecary jars. Perhaps because I use mine a LOT and because I change them up a LOT, it's the number one question I get from my readers. "What do I put in them?"
I don't claim to have the answer, but I do have some suggestions. I just changed mine out again.
I got some inspiration from Nester who uses tons of "natural elements"--another reason I'm a fan--and scrounged around the house for everything I have. A potpourri mix, some shells from vacation, pinecones, feathers, and a little nest, of course.
This change came on the heels of my "winter" apothecary arrangement. The pine needles were getting a little dry. Plus, it was 50 degrees here yesterday. That's a heat wave around here, people. Don't think I wasn't lookin' around for my bathing suit! :)
Of course, when it actually IS beach weather, I bring out the sand and shells.
Let's not forget those holidays!
My apothecary ideas are not the cure-all. Therefore, I shopped around the web for some more. Easter's coming up....what d'ya think I'm gonna do with mine then?
I didn't even get started on the bathroom apothecary ideas! I love this picture!
Mrs. Limestone had a yellow-themed party, and she used lemons in hers. I know we've seen the lemons and limes before, but HELLO! These are gorgeous!
And lastly, Holly Mathis used...well...anything and everything in hers. I love the chair.

I've been on a hunt for Apothecary Jars since I've seen how creative you are with yours and awesome they look! I'm hoping I can find some eventually that are in my price range {cheap, lol!} Thanks for a great post :-)
I love apothecary jars because they are so versatile. You make them look so wonderful!
Oh sweet apothecary jars, how I LOVE thee! Thanks for the beautiful ideas and gorgeous eye candy. I am actually in mourning for my very favorite apothecary jar. My very "spirited" toddler broke mine the other day while I was crafting with my sister. Crafting is dangerous business, you know?
Anytime I hear the word "apothecary" I think of R&J too.
Your jars are cool!
Is the quote from Romeo and Juliet?

Juliette!! When I was in college I watched the DiCaprio/Danes version at least once a week... TMI, I know.
I really want some of these jars! I love seeing everyone's pictures of what they have in them.
Beautiful! I still don't have any...I'm afraid I'd just break them. LOL!
What a great idea!
I love the colored egg display for easter!
I'm late, but the quote is from Romeo and Juliet. Now I'll have to go rent the movie.
I love your decorating ideas.
Great post!!! I love apothecary jars. I have way to many and I keep adding to my collection. Thanks for sharing all the photos and giving me some more ideas of what to put in the jars.
I Love Romeo and Juliet it is the reason I became a Lit major in school. It is the death scene and it is Juliet speaking I believe! It has been a while I will have to read it again! I love the Jars, you are so crative with what you do with them! I have small ones in my bathroom i use for things and one in my Living Room! I like yours better! Thanks for the Great Ideas!
Juliet? Love all of your ideas...makes me excited about apothecary jars.
R&J... which is only on the top of my mind because I have been SO into the Twilight series... love a good book!
The apothecary jars are SO cool... i love the modern take with the lemons and yellow candlesticks!
Romeo says that line. He takes the poison, and Juliet stabs herself.
Love all the options for the apothecary jars! I've got nuts in mine right now.
That would be Romeo, right? Loving the apothecary jars. I have a few small ones that I used to hold craft supplies (buttons, etc.) I need to get some bigger ones...any suggestions on where to buy them? I've been looking at Goodwill but I'm having no luck.
Love all those ideas!
was is Twilight? Baaahhhh! no silly I know it was Romeo & Juliet. LOL
I am SO getting me some of those jars this spring!!
Thanks for all of the great ideas!

I'm so glad you did this post! (And all of your others) but I have lots of apothecary jars also! I LOVE them! But I've been having a hard time deciding what to put in them! I always do the shells, but I needed some more ideas! Thanks! I'm borrowing and stealing here! ha ha Thanks! :)
I need some of those jars! :(
Love all the ideas since my jars are sitting empty. I think it's Juliette, although I think I said it after about 20 hours of labor about 30 years ago. Mimi
Is the quote from Romeo and Juliet? Love the apothecary jars!
How fun! I love apothecary jars...I love to work on mine...but it can be a challenge every once in a while to have something new and interesting in them. Thanks for sharing!
I love them! I have a small fireplace mantle and found some smaller jars. For Christmas, I put candy canes in one and gumdrops in the other. For Valentine's I have conversation hearts in them and it's so pretty and colorful!
I must confess-I was not a apothecary jar girl until I copied all the fabulous women in the blogging world.
I am kind of a freak. I love to decorate for all hoildays, and the next one is the green one. What do you think? Besides limes, what else does your little brain come up with. I am so with you on the eggs, I love the little things that cute girl put in hers. The book-I love it!!!
Interesting...I posted a picture of my jars as well. I have snacks, bars, and goodies on my counter. I also "dressed" them up with my uppercase living decals. I love your pictures.
I love the lemons idea! I am so using that for spring!!!!
love all those ideas, and wasn't it Juliet who said that?
Those are great ideas for the apothecary jars! Thanks! I'm going to have to get some of those! I love them!
Thanks for the tips. I keep mine on the piano and put candy in them for the piano students that I teach, but I'm tired of looking like a candy shop. I love your inspiration.
