birds did the same thing in our grill last year! We finally found a cover at Lowe's and it goes over the top and ties on the sides so the poor birdies are having to build elsewhere!

I say better a bird's nest than a rat's nest. DH went to open our FIRST grill one day and a big fat rat was sitting in the middle of a nest - yuck! Our house backed up to a creek and we got all kinds of crazy critters there. We have since moved and got a new grill. I could never eat anything cooked on that grill after that - double yuck!
LOL. I didn't know that birds can make nests on grills. I thought they prefer trees, haha~
