A New Washing Machine!

I’m soooo sorry to my Feature Friday ladies, but I had a very pressing matter to attend to today. I finally dragged my husband out to buy a new washer.

Another edit: Sorry..I was going to post what kind it is later, but I should just do it now. It's a GE 4.0 Cu. Ft. King-Size Capacity Front Load Washer #WBVH5300. We got it on sale at Home Depot for $629.00. Hope that helps!
The best news is that it can’t be delivered until next Thursday. Needless to say, I was a little displeased. These delivery guys apparently haven’t seen my laundry pile.
As a little treat for myself you, I thought I’d post some inspirational laundry rooms. I don’t know what it is about laundry rooms, but I look them up all the time. I love them!
A Cottage Industry I want to sit on her washer and read a book. So charming.

It would be a dream to incorporate a wrapping station like that into a laundry, wouldn’t it? A little edit: Apparently, this is Saucy’s “old” laundry room.

Wanna see her new one? Go see more pics here.

I have no idea where I got the following two, but the one right below is in my top 5 of all time. L-O-V-E it. The refreshment fridge, the track door, the ruler in the back…dreamy.

You’re smiling while you’re looking at this one, aren’t you? How can you not?
LaundryRoomF Thank you so much for all your advice on washers. I did a TON of research, and I think I came up with the best one within my husband’s price range.

Chris, I hope your new washer works like a dream. And that you don't dream of piles of laundry. Boy, we take our mod cons for granted, don't we?

Blessings to you and your family! Have a wonderful weekend.

Looking at that photo... I miss that laundry room, but I like my new one better. It's nice to have the space separate from the gift wrapping now.

Did you see the new laundry room? I unveiled it at:

oh how you will love the new additon to your family. You will wonder why you waited so long. You will fly through your laundry. Maybe you will even be like me and when the timer goes off you will think, "crap, it's done already, I just started to craft"
Congrats-tell your husband he is a good man.
PS-thanks again-I have been crafting like crazy-I will be ready!!

My laundry room is literally a tiny closet with just enough room for a washer & dryer and to open the dryer door. I love all of these! www.satisfiedsole.com

Girl, you are singing my tune with these laundry room photos. You know I looooove a laundry room. I'm stiiiil waiting for my husband to install our washer and dryer. (We've had this since June!!!) I've even threatened to not wash his laundry anymore. What did he do? Bought new socks and underwear then went to the laundromat. Sheesh! Hopefully you have far better luck than I!

I love those laundry room pictures! One day, one day, I will have the time to get to mine. It's INCREDIBLY tiny...like, really! LOL

ANyhow...since you did all the hard work w/the research, you'll have to let us know what model you got. Ours is very old and we will be needing a new one if ours keeps groaning at every load. *literally makes a groaning noise.)

Can't wait to see pics of your new washer...how dare they not be able to deliver it until Thursday- don't they know you need to blog about it! :) Congrats on the new machine.

Your new washer looks very similar to ours. It is also a GE that we bought on sale at Home Depot. We got lucky though. They still had one more in stock when we bought ours, so we didn't have to wait. We brought it home in the back of our trailer that day!! It has been a pretty good washer, and I really like it a lot. The best thing has to be that it doesn't use much water, and it rings the water out really well, so the clothes come out practically dry. Now I just have to wait for the dryer to go kaput so we can get a new one of them, too!! :) Enjoy your new machine when it comes!

Hello... Lovin' the new washer. I love seeing all the laundry rooms. I do not have a laundry room... I have an area in the basement. But it works!
Have you seen Rhoda's over at Southern Hospitality. Very cute! Happy Labor Day! Nancy from OHIO

Congrats on the newest addition-you will love it!! I could never understand why my mom would get so very excited about a new appliance but now I totally get it!!! You will especially love it when you put that entire basket of dirty towels in there and they fit!!!! Awesome machines those things can be! Enjoy")

Quick question....in a couple of the pictures it shows white containers that state laundry and another that says cleaners.. Anyone know where to purchase these? They are a must have for me.

Love your blog!

Love your new washing machine, My hubby was around the other day & I showed him the photo of your hubby trying to fix your old machine. He empathised with him then and today I yelled out to 'come look at the new machine'.He said to say Happy Father's Day Mate!! Mmmmm?? men are so strange aren't they. Its sounds like a win,win situation to me! I also showed him the Saucy's old laundry & said 'now that your'e here look at that, that's what I want u to make for me,hehe. We have a balloon decorating business and that ribbon rack is just what I need. It's to die for.Love your blog!!

My husband loves to get online and read Consumer Reports magazine and research all the info first. I have one that never fills with water, just to the amount of clothes inside, which it crushes down like a trash truck pounds trash. Only problem is: when the washing machine repairman is here to check something, he can't fill it without clothes in it and it won't fill with the lid lifted. Exasperates them!

Wow!! Those laundry rooms are AWESOME!! Mine is so tiny, I haven't figured out how I can decorate it. It is really hard to organize it as it is. I am glad you found an affordable washer!! Too bad they can't get it there until Thursday. It is almost perverse how happy you will be to do laundry then. Hahaha!! ;0)

Hurray for your new washer! Sorry to hear about the delivery date - I hate when things like that happen.

Thanks a lot for the laundry room inspiration. Mine's a disaster. I hope to work on it someday soon.

I'm so coveting those lovely machines. You know the commercial where the lady is throwing her old machine over the cliff...that would be me. I so want new ones, but the old ones will probably last another 20 years...ugh!!
