Last minute everything is happening around JaG’s house, but I thought I’d share how I take care of all those little gifts that are given at the holidays. When it comes to little boxes, I think general wrapping paper can appear overwhelming on such a little trinket box.
Since I tend to lean toward a more simplified look in the first place, I pick up these little white boxes in various shapes at Michaels throughout the year. The best part about wrapping this way means you can play up the boxes with all that gorgeous ribbon out there. I purchased these at Michaels. They were 1/2 off, and I went into a frenzy when I was picking them out.
Combine the boxes with the plethora of ribbon combinations, and you’ve got some pretty swank little packages to give away. Or keep for yourself so you can stare at them.
One of my favorite things about this idea is that, with essentially a few spools of ribbon, you can come up with so many variations of gift wrap!
I just kept throwing different combinations of ribbon on there until I came up with something I liked. There’s no science behind it. However, I sure wouldn’t mind knowing how to tie a really good bow. There’s definitely a science behind THAT.
One project down, and 6,241 chores to finish. Happy Wrapping!

How did I miss that ribbon??? I love that! Oh well, maybe it will be on clearance next week. I have vowed to watch a bow tutorial come January and practice all year so I've got it down to a science next Christmas!
They all look so beautiful!
I never that I would but Im really liking the idea of coordinating all the gift wrap. Thank you for bringing it down 10 notches and making it seem more possible! Your packages look sooo GREAT!!

I like that you collect those boxes throughout the year - I've got to start doing that!
Beautiful! I've gotten really into wrapping the last couple years. I keep a folder of pictures saved on my desktop for wrapping inspiration. I love your color scheme!

Love the mixture of blue and brown! I would be ecstatic to get a pretty present like that!
I saw all that ribbon. I need to inventory all my Holiday stuff though. It's scattered over several places in my house. I love the blue/brown combo.
LOVE it, what a great idea! Blue and brown in my favorite combo... Who says Christmas has to be red and green?

They really look great all together like that! I'm thinking this is a great idea for when my kids are older and we move on from Santa and snowman papers :)
I really like how the ribbon looks on those boxes. What a great idea.
Love it!
That ribbon is A stinkin' dorable! I love brown and blue and especially Christmas themed... Those boxes all look fabulous!
I love this idea! Blue and brown are some of those two colors togehter! you are so creative!
The presents are just beautiful... and how about that snow outside!!! Yikes!!!
Awesomely cute. What a fabulous idea. If I had ANY energy left, I'd go get some white boxes and ribbon right now. Sadly, I can't move, I'm so tired.
Thanks for sharing!
What a cute idea! I just came by to tell you Merry Christmas, and thank you for being the most influential person in my blog this year.

I learned how to make bows when I worked at a florist - and the secret is wired ribbon - although I got adept enough at it that I can make them with plain ribbon as well! Maybe someday I will do a how-to video!
OMG you seriously cannot make a real bow? I have so much to teach you...they are the easiest things in the world. I promise. Maybe I should do a tutorial for you. Would that help that hot mess of ribbon you have going on there? (actually, I'll give you some credit considering the skill level.) ;)
Ok, when I saw that gorgeous ribbon at Michaels I just HAD to have it too - it is awesome isn't it!?!
Great idea with the little white boxes!
I LOVE it!!!!!! So beautiful!
thank you!! i have boxes and very little time to make them look...festive...complete. i'm using your idea. yay!
Those are gorgeous! We don't have a Michael's around here and our Hobby Lobby ribbon has been long gone. I need to keep my eyes open for ribbon like that for next year!
Merry CHRISTmas!
I love the ribbons, where did you find them? And I love how you used them to layer and create a beautiful box. So glad I found you, you have great decorating ideas, I am always looking for new inspirations.
Daily laying it at the Master's feet!

Those are beautiful, I love the blue and brown look!
Love your packages, they look great. I was in the same boat as you about making bows until I found these two blogs about it. I hope these help.

That ribbon is so cute! I don't know how I don't have that in my 'stash' yet. Great job!

Love the box & ribbon idea ... next reason to wrap it's a staple in this neck of the woods!
Merry Christmas!
All the presents look wonderful. The ribbon is so pretty and creative.
I love it! All of it. My packages looked a mess and yours are almost too pretty to unwrap. You're amazing. Merry Christmas friend! I'm so grateful I met you a year ago :).
Fabulous idea! Your packages look so beautiful!
This is the best idea I've seen for "wrapping" this year! I will have to keep it in mind for next year. Thanks!
Love this! Heading to Michael's now to see if they have some of the ribbon at great, after-Christmas pricing.
Thanks for sharing this. Honestly, I just hate wrapping gifts and anything that makes it simpler but still pretty is appreciated!
These are so beautiful. I spend so much time wrapping little gifts like this and these look so much better. Thanks for the great ideas!
Even the Big Guy is impressed with these BOWS! What a great idea. Check out ribbon at Costco if you want a good deal on wide wired ribbon. I promise you, it is cheaper than I can buy at the Floral Wholesaler
OH WHAT A GREAT IDEA!!!! beautiful pics- straight out of a magazine!!!
xoxo
What a great way to streamline your gift wrapping and still have everything look beautiful!
I write a blog about gift wrapping (www.thegiftedblog.com). I'd love to share your idea on it! Drop me a comment if that's alright by you.
Thanks!
