Not many posts this week. I realize this. However, the end of wrestling season is upon us which means traveling to the ends of the earth for tournaments. Yay.
A highlight of our week was celebrating Thomas’s birthday. You may remember that we celebrated his 4th birthday last year.
My daughter has the memory of an elephant, so she made sure we remembered his 5th. She had fallen asleep on the couch, and when she saw the birthday “party” she was quite surprised. So surprised, in fact, it must have knocked her sock off.
Like any lucky five-year-old, Thomas got a gummy worm cake and a Sponge Bob stuffed animal.
Of course, “you know who” had to be there. Was he even invited?
Overall, the party was a success. Thomas turned another year older, all the kids got some extra sugar after dinner, and my daughter’s memory served her well once again.
I’ll be back tomorrow to announce the FLOR giveaway winner! I’m too excited!

Happy Birthday to Thomas! he hasn't aged a bit! :)
I haven't seen a gummy worm cake but, of course, my oldest son is 39 and the younger ones are 29 and 25. Happy birthday to Thomas.
Are you implying that your dog crashed this party? : ) How cute! I'd celebrate anyone's birthday for a piece of cake and some gummy worms!
That's so cute. We also have a yearly b-day party for my son's favorite stuffed dog. I even made a hat for said stuffed dog last year.
Oh, Chris. She is SO cute. And photogenic.
And of course Maximus was invited! C'mon, Chris, you love him! Don't you?
Really cute kids. Dog is hysterical. Although, I'm not sure you would agree and I probably wouldn't either if he was mine. Entertaining for your readers nonetheless!! :)
Hilarious! I love it!
This is so funny! What a great mom you are to let her imagination run wild!
Um, your daughter is ADORABLE.
Oh thank you so much for such a wonderful laugh. Happy 5th Birthday Thomas :)

Cute! I'd celebrate it too if it meant chocolate cake! :)
Cute! What a fun mom you are! I laugh out loud EVERY time you post about that dog! HA!
Too cute - she has a memory like an elephant.
Happy Birthday Thomas!!!!
And "You know who" is delightful!

Thomas - Happy, was the day you were born...well, ah you get my point.

Wow - Thomas hasn't aged a bit. And I love that he wears the same outfit every birthday - classic. Next time put up some streamers get some party hats - maybe that will knock BOTH of her socks off!
Too funny. Happy Birthday Thomas!
Okay, I totally remember Thomas' party and can't believe that was a year ago! Aw, Maximus! I love him. I'm glad he's yours to tear up your house and drive you crazy, but I love him from a distance :). Glad he invited himself to the party so we could see him again.
I just wanted to tell you how cute your daughter was in your Flor post. Not only was the post funny but that picture of her giving the thumbs up was adorable! I would have commented on that post however I thought it would have gotten lost in all of your comments.
Love your blog although I don't comment very often.
Thank you for the laugh this morning! Lucky girl to have a mom who indulges her imagination; good for you!
Oh my goodness this is SO cute! Happy Birthday to Thomas! :) LOL!
Oh, that is SOOOO stinkin' funny! You're such a cool mom to throw a birthday party for your daughter's doll. You can use this to remind her how cool you are when she hits her teen years. :0) I'm just sayin'...
Too funny! I'll have to remember the birthday of my favorite things and see if maybe hubs and the kids will offer up cake and gifts! (Smart girl!) And how on earth do you keep "you know who" from eating everything right off the table??? He's huge! He looks like a mastif...we had one once and she was the SWEETEST dog ever!
Thank you for making me smile right away today. :-)
You ROCK!
Layla

Awww!!! My kids haven't been drawn to anything for that long. What a sweet mom you are!!!
Very, very cute. But I have to say that Thomas looks to be in the under 10 percantile.
That's percentile. Sorry.
Such a cute idea!
That is a memory she will cherish forever! Congraturlations, you win the bestest mommy award for this one!
I would remember, if I got to make a cake like that and EAT it too! :)
LOL...."you know who" had to be there...haha, good one!
That is so cute! Those are the kinds of things your daughter will remember and love you for forever!
I love it!!! I'm sure these will be precious memories for your daughter! And I love that it knocked her sock off!
This has nothing to do with the party (although I think you win Mother of the Year Award for remembering the doll's bday) I just noticed your beautiful floors. Did you install them? If so, do you know the brand/color. We are building a new home and want wood floors so I'm on the lookout!
