I could write a dissertation on my theory behind advertising. As a matter of fact, as I sit here, I can’t seem to find the words to make this simple. Basically, in an effort to simplify things, I have decided to lower my advertising prices.
While I know that my readership warrants a higher price, I find that I would rather lower my prices and have more advertisers (hopefully) participate. Wouldn’t it be better to help more companies at a lower price as opposed to less companies at a higher price?
Obviously, if this were my business I would think differently about it. I definitely rely on the supplement to help me run this blog. Without it, Just a Girl would look VERY different. :)
Get to the point, Chris! I will now run 30-day ads for $30.00. That’s $1.00 a day, and I didn’t even need a calculator for that!
In addition, I will post all ads on the 1st of the month. It’s becoming a difficulty keeping track of when ads expire, and I find this will take care of that.
Soooo….I hope this “announcement” is something that appeals to you! I’m excited about it at least! Send me an e-mail if you’d like to advertise!

Sounds like a good deal but, right now, having lost my forensic nursing job of 21 years with the city of San Francisco in massive budget cuts over a year ago ( with an income drop of $90,000 a year ), I can hardly pay the rent on my retirement income. Never thought I would see this day!
I can understand--which exactly why I thought it was the best move! Good luck with everything!
This is so awesome of you!! We just found out that my newborn has a medical condition that is requiring a ton of doctor's visits and therapy (probably for the rest of her life). To make a long story short, we are opening a business to help pay for all her medical bills. I didn't think I could afford advertising yet - but I could definitely swing this!!! Thank you! I will be e-mailing you soon.
Do you post advertisments for other blogs as well or just businesses? Thanks, Megan
I think this is a great idea...especially for those amazing new businesses that are still small but would like to get their name out there. Advertising with a new business can be a frustrating thing.
Also frustrating, when you are trying to read a blog on your phone during a boring part of church and you kid outs you. Oh wait, that is just downright embarrassing. I knew it was an "ing" word. ;)
Chris, I have emailed you twice about advertising. I am very interested in advertising, please contact me lmcsimons@gmail.com. Thank you!
