If you’ve been on JaG’s Facebook or Twitter pages lately, you know that I’m in the process of redoing my guest bedroom. A guest bedroom that involves a hideous ceiling fan. Mom, if you’re reading this, look away.
Okay. Is she gone? I’ve made it no secret that I hate ceiling fans. Before you attack me in the middle of the night, I understand that there are some environments that truly call for them. My guest bedroom is not one of them.
My mom, however, loves a good ceiling fan. We had one put in “her” room when we built, and I’ve mumbled swear words at it ever since. Ceiling fan, be gone!

I know you’re going in blind here, but I thought I’d show you my top selections for the guestroom. Wanna go on a tour of my favorites even though you have NO idea how I plan on decorating it? Makes sense, right?
Group A. The traditional chandy. Beautiful, sparkly, luscious.

Group B. A new favorite of mine. I love both of these, but I’d have to paint them. Not a big deal, really. I’d just rather not have to do it.

I’m going to be mean and reveal to you that I’ve already picked out my favorite and made it obnoxiously clear to my husband which one to order for my birthday(that’s how we work). I’d love to see what you have to say, though! What do you think? Got a favorite look/style for a bedroom redo?

This was the most perfect post for me to read tonight!!!! I have been looking at these Chandies for days at overstock and could NOT decide! I wan one over the dining room table and in our bedroom. Number 5 will be joining our family!

Love them all and Overstock! Been spending a lot of money there lately with my daughter's renovation. I go for 6...can't wait to hear.

I bought #1 for my daughter's room from Overstock and we love it - I also saw it at a local retailer last week for $250 so that made me happy! It does come unassembled and the directions they send for putting on all of the crystals are marginal at best. But I figured it out and it's really beautiful installed.
I LOVE number 5! I want it for my guest room in my new house:) Lovely.
#6 but I am a simple kind of girl!
My faves are Group C - streamlined but elegant at the same time.

I think the last group looks more like a dinning room not a bedroom. I love them very much but they just don't say bedroom to me.
I am guessing you'll go with number 4 (don't remember your guest room though). I am with you on the ceiling fans-I don't care for them but there are some homes/rooms that really need them.
Thank you for posting this though because #1 is absolutely perfect for my kitchen; I am doing a cosmetic update and I wanted a chandelier and that one is just PERFECT! Thanks for doing the legwork for me!
P.S. I think that's a great policy for birthdays:)
Wow... These are so beautiful, it's so hard to pick. I love all of them but for your house I pick # 5. Love the Drum and glitter together! I agree about not liking the look of ceiling fans. Remember, with my remodeled bdroom, I did not put one up again. Your forgiven, I will just pack my own T U R B O blaster. You always say I pack more stuff than anyone you know. HE HE HE....

I say avoid Group B- it's going to look soooooo dated in about three years, you'll be dying to get rid of it. The other two groups are classy and timeless. Group B is a fad.
I actually have the #4 chandelier and I painted it black. I love it! The little crystal flowers are easily removed for painting. I have pictures if you'd like to see...just let me know. Good luck!

I really like #1 in Group A, and #5 in Group C.

Love a chandelier or any pretty lighting, which means I'm totally on your side, boo to ceiling fans, one that I happen to have in my bedroom that my husband has forbid me to remove! I'm loving the last 2 chandeliers you posted, little traditional, a little rock and roll!!
Drum shade for sure...so elegant and sophisticated for a bedroom environment. I swear it's the one you picked just by looking at pictures of the rest of your house, I think this is most your style!
