Guess Who’s Back? Back Again.

T-H-A-N-K  Y-O-U for every kind word, comment, message, e-mail, card, and prayer that was sent my way since we last “spoke”. I truly can’t tell you how much it means to me. More importantly, it all  impressed my sweet grandpa—and that’s not easy to do.

I’ve had family here from all over the country, so you can imagine how much my creative time has been squelched. However, an ice storm on our 2nd day of spring (this is Michigan, after all) allowed me to do some much needed inspiration shopping.

Wanna see what I’ve got on the brain? Here are some snippets (click on pictures for the link)…

blue silk curtains

I KNOW, right? This neutral girl feels like she’s gonna break out into hives every time I think about buying these. But I’m drawn to them. Like a moth to the flame…

stenciled ceiling

No, I won’t be doing this. I don’t think. It’s an absolute favorite of mine. I could look at it all day.studded console

Couldn’t get a larger picture of it, but you get the idea. I’m pretty sure this cabinet is a couple thousand dollars. Uhhh…I won’t be spending that much.frameless mirror

She will be mine. And she will be mine soon. Do I really need to explain why? Dreamy.

yorkshire terrier

And finally…my daughter wants a puppy for her birthday (in August!). Luckily, she wants one that tops out at 7 inches tall—the size of this guy’s ear.

Stuff is startin’ to happen around here, so I’ll be back to “normal” next week! Thank you for your patience!

I hope you are doing okay!

I do love that shower curtain too. I have a friend who made her own of that and it looks really complicated. So pretty though!

so happy to hear you're back!!! seriously.
and yes, the shower curtain is gorgeous. I made a laundry bag in the same style. Not too difficult to DIY.

So glad your back, I love those curtains. Blue is my favorite color but I am afraid to commit to color so I stick to neutrals most of the time. I will be watching to see what you do.
By the way I LOVE Maximus and every time you have a post of him I show it to my husband and tell him I want a dog like him. Then my husband reminds me I have two dogs and how much Maximus eats. Still I love him from a distance.

I am so sorry for your recent loss, I am very close to my grandmother as well (although we have a huge family) I cannot imagine what you have gone through in the last few days.

On a lighter note I love love love and adore that shower curtain!

I found your blog a couple of weeks ago while looking at some fabulous cupcakes on Saucy's Sprinkles. I read a couple of posts at work and got hooked. Instead of getting fired I looked you up from home that evening and have since read Every. Single. Post!! I have also tackled 2 projects since I started reading! YAY me! Thanks for all the inspiration!

Love the drapes!

As for pets, what about a Munchkin cat? They are a newer breed with very short legs (hence the name). I bought one ten years ago and they make great pets. The Munchkins are great with kids, good lap cats and are smart.

Hi Chris,
I'm glad your grandpa is coping all right; I'm sure the love of his family is making things much easier.
I love your wish list, esp. those sapphire drapes. They are gorgeous! Please do yourself a favor and talk to a custom drapery workroom before you buy silk drapes off the rack. A good drapery studio will not cost much more than "store-bought" panels, but the worksmanship and durability will be well worth any additional cost!
