Keeping Track

I keep telling myself that I'm going to post about my blog keeper tracker (yeah, that makes sense), so today I'm just going to do it! If you haven't found out about Bloglines, let me be the one to introduce you. It keeps track of all the blogs you choose to subscribe to, and it lets you know when there's been a new post. Obviously, this whole blog hobby can take up some time. There's no way to keep track of who has posted without going to their blog 50-60 times a day. What? You don't do that? Oh....uh...anyway....

I currently subscribe to 76 blogs!! Just because you're not listed on my personal blog, doesn't mean that I'm not watching you like a hawk! (Said in a very non-stalker-ish kind of way, of course.) I always go back and forth about whether or not I should add everyone to my blog list, but I figure if I visit you, you'll know it. I'm a generally good commenter--at least I try to be!

How can this be? A pictureless post? Uh....how about this one? Since we're on the topic of stalking (aren't we?), this is how my nemesis stalks...err...protects my daughter when she eats. Stand down, Maximus. Oh yeah, paper plates and paper cups. I wasn't in the mood for dishes. Sue me.

I'm a partial lurker. I comment most of the time except when life becomes crazy and I have no time to think!

I do enjoy your blog (and have commented before).

OK. I have a question. How can you tell how many people have gone to your blog. I can't figure that one out but people seem to know.

Hee. Pulling out all the secret weapons! Love it!

I have a similar thing, that I have on my blog roll. Makes it all easy peasy. But then, I dont have 78 or however many you watch...Rock star girl!!

Just recently signed up for bloglines. Just wish I could comment from there. Or can I? Do ya know? Love the Nemesis picture:) I had two dogs growing up, one a mutt the other a Doberman. They were the queen and king of "I'm not looking at you" while we were eating. As soon as you made eye contact they would turn away and then back to their business of staring and hoping a morsel of food would drop to the floor:) Oh, and I've been known to break out the "fine china" for a few meals!

That's the exact same question I have, AJ. I read them on bloglines, but then I end up having to click on their post anyway in order to comment. Not a big deal, but I would like to comment right from there. Oh, I love the story about the dogs not looking at you. Hilarious!

You know I lurk daily! I use google reader to stalk who blogs and when. It's my life saver. I won't ever type the numer of blogs I read. It's mucho embarrassing. THANKgoodness not every blogs daily otherwise I would be sitting at my comp. all day long..

I still read blogs old school...click on them from my favorites. I just don't like using a reader b/c it's not very personal (although time consuming). I may look into it more soon though.

Hey, I am back, already! Thanks for visiting my site! I have a question for you regarding the cake, what did you do to make the ball?? I don't bake, I leave that for my hubby, so I will need some guidance so I can help him out. :-) Thanks!!

I use a blog tracker called Blogbridge. It sounds similar to what yours does. I only suscribe to about 10 blogs, but seventy-what??! Wow!

I heart bloglines!! I'm bad about updating my blogroll, too, but bloglines, just a couple clicks and I stalk you.

I really really really need to do this! A friend asked me about it the other day and was shocked that I hadn't yet! It was like I was still listening to 8 tracks or something! (you know you know what that is, don't pretend to be all young and cool and say "what's THAT?!)

Until I get hooked up with that I'll keep coming over here 50-60 times a day. Yeah, I do that!!! :)

PS...I thought all of 30 seconds on what to comment. Did you find my kids in your laundry yet?

I came across your blog and have been laughing my butt off reading your posts. You are hilarious! I'll be visiting you daily to get my dose of comic relief. No pressure.

I use google reader and what a time saver it is!! I "subscribed" to my own blog though to see how long posts take to show up after someone actually publishes them. After I published my blog one day it took a few hours for it show up in my reader! I thought that was nuts so I may be looking into bloglines instead. Oh... and I have 137 subscriptions (136 if you subtract my own blog- ha ha) and there is NO way I can list them all on my blog as the ones I read. First, that would just show how little I do all day and two, I don't think there's room! :o)

I really need to try that. I spend so much of my time hopping around and not wanting to miss one thing.... Must try it!

What a cute picture! Is he protecting her, or waiting for food to drop? lol!

I don't know if I've commented here before, but I found your blog recently and really enjoy it. Great job.

This is my first time at your blog, and I love it! I think we were meant to be friends because I, too, am "just a girl who loves chocolate, shopping, and decorating"! Oh, and I'm obsessed with Halloween and am already planning my new Martha Stewart decorations! I'll be back to visit!

Gail said...

Hi! I just wanted to drop you a note and tell you how much I enjoyed your blog! Love the Halloween ideas!

Was this blog for me? Did you find out I check your blog like 50 times a day to see if you've posted something new. Okay, okay. I'll sign up.

I just discovered Bloglines too and it is so nice to use! The only danger I am in now is adding too many blogs to the list and then I am glued to the computer all day...yikes!

Whew! I was wondering where my blog was. So you've been one of my stalkers huh? As long as someone is looking, right?

As for the striped blue and brown treatment with the pom-pom fringe. Can't take total credit. It is one of my clients:( It is in their water closet room (also known as the potty room in the master bath.) I picked the fabric & trim and Tonya actually made them.
So you see I can't do it all, oh I try... but sewing, I fall flat on my face. Literally because I end up doing it at 1 AM.

Fine china or even everyday dishes-WAY OVER RATED! That's the way to rebel!

Love it! I think if we'd all be honest with ourselves, we're all a bunch of stalkers!. :)
