L.P.A.

Did you guess what that means? Long Post Alert. Consider yourself forewarned, but DO go to the end for some good pics!

I've been getting tagged by people, and because I'm a procrastinator I've been putting off posting them. Bad person? Maybe not. Bad blogger? You bet! THANK YOU, ladies for being so patient and kind to me!!!

I've been Boo-ed by Our Complete Family and.....someone else. THAT'S how bad I am! I can't even remember who! ACK! EDIT: It was Stacy over at 19 Butternut. Please forgive me, Stacy! I'm dumb. Is that a good enough excuse? :) Go see her door! And the baskets! Oh my!

Then, I got this from Sandy Toes (I'm listening to your music right now! :)

Here's where it gets downright shameful. I'm not sure who gave me this. I have 7 tabs open right now, and I lost it. If I can't do better than this, I don't even deserve this award. I'm so sorry.

However, maybe I can make up for it with this! Christina and someone else--eeks! gave me this one! Isn't it pretty?!

Stop throwing things at me! Let me redeem myself! Linda tagged me with this little project, and I liked it. So...I'm actually going to participate! The tag is to name 5 things you love about your state! Well, she lives in Florida (I know--we hate her already) so it was easy for her! To be honest, it's very easy for me. Here we go...

5 Things I Love About Michigan!

I'm 10 minutes from this. If I want to have a night out on the town, I can. If I want to see Kid Rock in concert (twice), I can. Don't be too shocked--the guy can perform!

A couple people have asked--this is Grand Rapids!

I think Michigan's greatest strength is its ever changing scenery. I think I'm particularly lucky because I live in an extremely central location.

In the spring, I drive 30 minutes for this.

Then in the summer, I drive 37 minutes for this.

In the fall...well, this is everywhere. Throw a couple of dead deer on the side of the road, and my drive to work looks EXACTLY like this.

And finally, lest we forget this IS Michigan. The other half of the year is this. Believe it or not, this is a color picture. Kind of pretty, eh?

These pictures were all taken in Michigan. Thinking of moving north, anyone? Alright, I don't usually tag (because I'm horrible at it), but I like this one! So...
Kris at More than the Mulberries. She's my friend, so she HAS to do it, right? Plus, she cracks me up. No pressure, Kris.
Layla at The Lettered Cottage. Layla is my friend. I think everyone thinks that they are friends with her, but really---I'M her friend. Back off. She'll do this one right, and I like where she lives!
Carrie at Buzzings of a Queen Bee. Every post she does is just wonderful, so I'm sure this will be no exception. She lives in Colorado. She'll have NO problems coming up with 5!

Thanks for tagging me and being positive that I can come up with 5 good things about where I live. I've been Eh on it lately so this is very Oprah of you to make me do a gratitude journal of sorts.

Your drive to work amazes me - beach, tulips, Kid Rock? Your life is GOOD!!!

Michigan looks so pretty. I think I would like it because people say, "eh?". We don't say that down here. :)

Very pretty pics of Michigan! I did a post on Hell, MI last Friday...lol...still don't get that name, it's a beautiful place, really.

I have no idea what big city that was in the first photo though. I know it's not Detroit and there really are not alot of other options, but I'm still stumped, lol.

I used to love the 4 seasons, but I am finding the more seasons I go through, the less I am liking the cold ones ;) But it's still pretty!

Have a wonderful weekend:)

I too am so bad about keeping up with blog awards!

I saw your Michigan post and the tulips, would they be from Holland, Michigan?

I lived in Holland, Micigan many years ago, loved it there, I even marched in the Tulip time parade our first year there. Took my Mom to visit the Gerald Ford museum in Grand Rapids and of course the ever famous Dutch Village.

I enjoy your blog!

LOVED your pictures. I only lived in Michigan for 6 months, but I loved those 6 months. Grand Rapids was on of my favorite places (best airport in all of Michigan, too! ha ha)

Gosh, it's beautiful! I live in Florida and can't imagine living in the snow again (did it in CO for 2.5yrs) but I sure can appreciate the beauty of it! And those tulips are breathtaking!
