I’ll be Right Back.

This was me at 10:55 yesterday…

Amazing what “freedom” will do for your complexion, eh?  School’s out, people!  I need just a moment to celebrate and adjust to my new life.  I’ll be back to normal in a minute.  Until then, here’s a picture of my staff celebrating when the last student left.

tampawinsjpg That’s my principal in the yellow goggles.  He’s a hoot, isn’t he?  I was already passed out in the coat closet by this time.  It was a good celebration. :-)

Ha! My husband teaches HS Social Studies! He is positively giddy and couldn't wait to celebrate his first free wknd. He works a lot in the summer but he doesn't have to deal with teenage angst (not for about 11 years anyways and then it will be times 2...oy).

So cute. Teachers totally understand! At the end of school one year, our staff had a massive and impromptu water fight. (We used the squirt guns we had confiscated from our students!) The cooks used their sprayers in the cafeteria where it began. My favorite, we went in to get the principal and he came out with a battery powered super soaker, zinging water off the office windows! Wheee...the relief of it all! : )

You're hilarious. I love your humor (as it so closely matches my own.) Congrats on completing another year! Perhaps you should make a school countdown advent calendar for your staff for 09-10? 185 little magnetic metal boxes filled with goodies? Okay...maybe not. Looking forward to seeing what you do when you're not working since what you do when you are is simply amazing! Happy Summer Vacation!!!

Now that you have all this free time, I say let's road trip it. We'll stop at Taco Bells for you, Starbucks for me and blog our way across thrift stores and garage sales. Wouldn't that be fun?!?

You crack me up. Enjoy sleeping in and some well deserved time to yourself and cleaning up after the dog.
