Car Chrome

Just a Girl is writing about Car Chrome?  Well, yes.  She is.  I’ve been on this “sparkly” kick lately, and I bought what I thought was some chrome spray paint.  Can you tell which one I purchased originally?  I was disappointed, to say the least.IMG_6579 However, notice the sparkly, shininess to the right.  I was shopping around in the automotive department the other day.  Really, I was.  You never know where you’ll find some inspiration.

I stumbled across some chrome spray paint for cars!  I thought maybe this will be a little bit better quality.  My thoughts were so dead on.  Now, I don’t mean to hurt the people at Rust-Oleum.  I’m sure they’re great people who have cute kids.  They just don’t make the best chrome spray paint.

IMG_6624Sooo, if you’re looking to spray something all pretty and chrome-y, I would definitely recommend looking in your automotive section.  I don’t even know that the brand is the issue.  I just think they make it differently!  Give it a try!

Ooooo so shiny. We must be on the same wavelength because I just bought some while strolling down the automotive aisle at Ollies. Have no idea yet how I'll use it, but glad to know it will be a "shiny-happy-people" kinda shine.

The automotive section is great for things like that, so is the plumbing section in the hardware store... (lots of copper goodness there).

You're right, you can find inspiration anywhere. I found my rust covering primer at Auto Zone, and I love it!

Amazing... I'm trying to think of a way to use the chrome on something I own right now!

The one on the left looks better in terms of the still-obvious details of the shell. It just doesn't look chrome-y.
The shell on the right is... ooooh, shiny! :D
