A Winner and a Loser

First, let’s start with the loser.  (That’s me, by the way.) I have 1 million projects going on, and I have no post to show for any of it.  Please tell me I’m not the only person that this happens to.  I’ve been trying to sell this big guy for months, and I finally sold it.
IMG_1983_thumb[4] Notice anything different between the two pictures?  Oooh!  It’s a game!  I’m going to ruin the game by telling you the answer.  The computer is missing.  Once we bought a laptop, this thing was no longer needed at JaG’s house.  IMG_5279 Since I’m going in a different direction in here, I went with a different desk--otherwise known as a dining room table.  For $60.00 on Craigslist, I’m a giddy girl.
IMG_0422 While it’s a gorgeous color, it doesn’t match the look I want (why would it ever be that easy?).
IMG_0420 Then, of course, there’s always these little thorns in my side.  They’ve been in my garage.  Haunting me.  Whispering my name as I get out of my car.  Never fear.  I bought fabric yesterday.  It’ll happen.  Soon.  I think.  Choppy sentences, eh?IMG_0421 And what pointless post would be complete without another unfinished project?  No, the table isn’t wearing little boots.  Will I ever finish anything?
IMG_0424 Let’s end this on a good note, shall we?  450 entries????  That tells me one of two things.  You love the message behind this product, and you love lip gloss!  The lucky (and I mean really lucky) winner is…
Congratulations, Andrea!  Don’t forget!  You can still be a winner by going to What’s Your Virtue, entering chris15 as the coupon code, and receive 15% off your order!

My whole house is an unfinished project LOL

Sounds like my life. There's never anything less than 1000 projects, but none of them are finished.

And why don't you live closer? I love that desk & would buy it in a heart beat.

Where did you get the big desk...I love it and need one just like it...too bad we don't live closer!

Oh this post made me feel much, much better. I have a "To-Do" list that is growing every day, yet my "Done!" list seems very lonely...glad I'm not the only one in the boat!

Can't wait to see all of your projects finished ~ especially those chairs! :)

Two questions: What state are you in, and how much are you trying to sell the desk for? I might be interested if it's within distance/price range...

If you were anywhere near Austin I would so buy that desk from you!! It's exactly what I've been searching craigslist for here and haven't been able to find :(
Ship it to me!

Oooh, I actually like your old desk too. But agreed, it's kind of massive. I have a cute desk, but um, we only go into my craft room to dump stuff. :) So I moved it into my dining room. Now it gets used every day.

Love the new one. I also ♥ Craigslist!

Hey Kris, stop over at the giveaway on my blog. SUPER cute pillows!!!

Oh I know that feeling! Working away at a gazillion projects and then you realise you have nothing to blog about, because everything is in that stage where it looks really terrible.
You made quite an entertaining post about it anyway.

O.k. I want to know what you are going to transform that dining room table into?? I have one just like it (same look, same finish). It's in need of a makeover. What will you do? What will you do? Please come back and show us so that I don't have to be creative on my own and I can just copy Y-O-U! (I've heard that imitation is the highest form of flattery, you know).

Yes, I have been there! Then I get a snow day or a burst of energy and I have too many posts waiting to go! You'll get to it ~ that's what I say anyway.

How much are you asking for the desk? I live in Byron Center...

I love Craigslist, too.

I've been working on the same desk for two months now. The worst part? I have a second, identical desk waiting in the garage for me!

YES, I've been there..actua;;y I am right now. I have plans to redo or living room and I think I found out table finally (on Craiglist of course)
Yayyyy for the winner!

I'm getting ready to completely redo my house and can't figure out which project to actually start on! I'm really bad about starting and not finishing because I'm impatient AND easily distracted. Certain I will feel your pain soon. ^_^

Also wanted to point you to a super cool paint tool that might help with those "boots" on the table ...

PAINT PYRAMIDS!

I also have many projects that I need to complete~ok some of them I need to start. So many good ideas but so little time. Someday we will catch up with it all. LOL

I keep telling myself I won't start another thing until these are completed but that never works.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! My daughter will be SO excited (that is, if I don't decide to keep them for myself)!

Oh I've got those types of furniture sitting around needing some paint and fabric. Others need to be sold and new things found on Craigslist...maybe come summer I'll have the time. I can't wait to see how yours turns out.

I really liked your original desk.
To each his own I guess.

I have a million things going on too, so don't feel bad. Not enough hours in the day, for sure. Oh well, we can have fun in the process. Right? Love and blessings from NC!

wow! you've been busy! i'm so sick of unfinished projects. :o/

You need to stage that desk better - try using the kleenex box. If it sells afteryou do that (I'm guessing in 24-48 hours) then I get a 10% commission. You can thank me when you write the check. :)

I can relate to a million projects. You do great work with your refinishing projects. I did want to tell you that I lost most of my pictures off my blog. You came over and read and critiqued it for me for which I do appreciate it. Anyway, in a spurt of frustration, I deleted it. Oh well, I just decided to give it another go.
The new name is "My Red and Yellow Baskets". haven't a clue how it will evolve, but i'm off again. It was around the holidays and I can't remember who I thanked and who I didn't.
Stop over sometime and be my second visitor, lol. It's hard to be on the bottom rung again, but it's fun. Thanks, Connie (My Thoughts and Creations)

You're not the only one!! I think I have a million and one projects on the "to do" list. I also think I have a million and one lists going on too. Oh well, as long as we stay organized and eventually check things off those lists we're good. This room is going to look great...I love all the furniture. Reminds me of my sewing room make over with 18 different pieces of furniture all painted black. Paint really does wonders bringing things together. Pop over and see the pictures...it's on my side bar.
Have a great week,
~Karen~
