Cheetah overload!

We survived! The fight is over, the party is over, the clean-up....is still in progress. My little 6-year old had a great time!
It has now become a family joke that I have been cursed when it comes to cakes. Remember my son's? Well, this time I was having it made. No worries, just pick it up---right? Wrong. It was supposed to be ready at 3:00. My husband went at 3:30, and they had no cake. They thought it was for the next weekend. WHA? Soooo...I got kind of a lame cake that I had to put Cheetah Girls cardboard on. The birthday girl didn't notice, so I guess that's all that matters.
I decided to make this more of a Cheetah-licious party and have a stage made out of tablecloths. The kids had a little curtain to go behind, so they could come out and "perform". Needless to say, it was a hit.

Remember this guy?

Yeah, well now he's this guy. FYI: He's a microphone hog.

There was singing, there was dancing, and there was a lot of laughter! Perfect combination for a stressful weekend, don't ya think?

I think I have 4 pictures of me (three more than last year, mind you), and this is one of them. How flattering.
Still no make up on, and my hair went up while it was still wet, but I guess it's a little better.

The little diva and her best friend. Happy Birthday, sweetheart!!

Love the pink boa on hubby. You know he must feel all at one with his manliness, winning in 27 seconds and all. When are you not partying?

I bow to your birthday parties...my poor kid lost the crap shoot and does not have a mom who can throw a par-tay. Glad your weekend went well!

You throw the best birthday parties!! I am literally LAUGHING out loud over the picture of your husband with the boa. He's a mic hog, huh? So is my husband! I have a sneaking suspicion if they were to fight over the mic, YOUR husband would win. ha ha

I'm so behind in my google reader - I have over 200 posts to read and I am just now reading up on all the excitment in your life last weekend - wow - I never ceased to be amazed by you - I would be a nervous wreck too if my husband was involved in anything like that!! Amazing party you put on too - you deserve the mom and wife of the year award!!!! Hope your husband realizes what a jewel you are!! (Make him read all these posts LOL!) And I agree with an earlier commenter, you have a natural beauty and charm that shines out even through your website!!

I just discovered your blog and went back and read it from the beginning! I Love it! Unfortunately I am a lurker/stalker and I have no blog of my own. I am much more a reader than a writer! My husband and I both teach high school so I can totally relate to your posts about the last day of school! Unfortunately we have been back in school for 2 weeks now and I am already longing (as are my kids)for Labor Day weekend and the 3 day weekend! Have fun!!!

Okay, yippee! I just found your blog through Bridget at My Silly Blog (bigeeesblog.blogspot.com). She featured you today for Blog Day 2008, and I think she made a great choice! I've only read a couple of posts to far, but they were great. Your daughter is gorgeous as are you and hubby! Ooh la la! What a good lookin' family!
This party looks like it was a blast and I love the pic of your hubby with the boa on. Did you notice that your daughter was mid-jump in the pic and her pony tail is sticking straight up? It's great!
Okay, come by and see me at my blog and say hello!
