Brighton Cottage Monday

I was looking back at my numerous posts last week, and I realized I kinda dropped the ball.  Sorry about that.  I’m sure most of you understand the busy-ness that comes with going back to work full-time, but I thought I should acknowledge it.  I’m working on being able to blog and work. :)

Tricia at Brighton Cottage sent me some pictures last week, and I nearly fell out of my chair.  I thought it might be something you’d like to look at so you could fall out of your chair, too.

cottage1

I’ll just sit here for a moment while you drool.  Open shelving, beautiful colors, large workspace…

cottage2

Oh, come on!  Does she have to have a prep sink?  What I wouldn’t do…

cottage3

Well, hello pretty.  Love all the pillows and tailored linens.

cottage4

And really…can you ever get tired of pretty laundry rooms?  Well, maybe you can.  I, however, am totally swooning over here.

cottage

Notice the framed kids’ artwork above the cubbies?  Yup.  Totally stealing that one.  And finally, her office.  I love every detail of it.  Look at that chair!

cottage5 If I know you like I think I do…you’re liking this just about as much as I do.  One last thing…Tricia and I were this close to being best friends forever until I found out her HUSBAND has done all that work!  Uh, you’ve seen my husband’s handy work.  Needless to say, I’m a little jealous.

OH WOW! Her home's bee-you-tiful. I am incredibly jealous right now and when I get all worked up like this, I drink wine (more than usual). So tell Tricia that her home's driving me to drink. =]

(Seriously, Tricia, your home's gorgeous.)

Thx for sharing, Chris!

Great photos...I am very jealous of her husbands handy work - we need to work on that one at our house! I think I just might have to steal the kiddos framed artwork as well :)

So I was totally thinking about painting my kitchen cabs both black and cream...and this unbelievable kitchen has made my mind up for me. I love it, thanks for posting and for the inspiration. My hubby actually said "I don't care what you paint in this house, just please don't paint the trim. {it's like he can read my mind...}

How beautiful!! Although I think I might need to replace my keyboard now. Drool and technology don't seem to mix too well... ;0) I LOVE THE KITCHEN!! I wonder if I could get her to trade....

Lynda @ SportsMadGirl said...

Excuse me while I wipe the drool off the keyboard. Her kitchen is fantabulous. I don't think I'd ever leave the kitchen (except to maybe hang out in the laundry room). Sigh!!!

I love it! Her taste is very similar to mine. I would probably paint the cabinets white, and some of the wall colors are a little dark for me, but what a beautiful home!! :)

Any chance you can find out where she got those metal baskets above her washer & dryer? I love those! I didn't see a way to contact her through her blog. Thanks so much!

Thank you for posting this, Chris.

I'm blessed to have a wonderful house (well, I'm blessed and I'm also 46 years old; some things just come with age). I'm always happy to share my DIY projects, etc., but I've been hesitant to post photos of my house, even though my decorating is all DIY. My house is not a mansion, by any means, but it is a very nice house, and I haven't wanted to look like I'm showing off, especially in this season when so many people are scraping by on very tight budgets. I guess maybe I shouldn't worry so much about that; hopefully my readers will know that my intentions are good.

You know, I always find inspiration of one kind or another here at your place!

I fell off my chair. Ouch! But my eyes sure don't hurt taking in all that loveliness. Wowza!! Such inspiration!!!
