Fallin’ Up?

Uhhh have you SEEN all the fabulous links from the party?  You people are aMAZing!  I thought I could do a “highlights” post today, but I’m still not through all of them.  I’ll work on getting that around tomorrow.  Thank you SO much for all your great ideas.  Keep ‘em coming!  The party’s not over.

holiday decor 001

I worry that fall decorating doesn’t get the recognition it deserves around here, so I made sure to do a few arrangements before the ol’ red and green start coming out around the house.

I’m hoping this will prove to you just how cheap holiday decorating can be.  I don’t think I purchased anything for full price.  After-holiday-shopping.  It’s critical.

I purchased a whole container of these acorns for $2.00 at Target last year.  They were normally $7.00!  Huh?  The f.a.l.l. pumpkins and the textured balls were both on clearance at Michaels.  Pine cones?  Courtesy of my backyard.

So, if I’ve said it a million times, I’ll say it again (that doesn’t even make sense).  Don’t spend big money on holiday decor.  There’s just no need.

Speaking of saving money!  My design girl (yeah, that’s what I call her) is offering my readers a spectacular deal right now!

button-9 She is offering all of you the following choices:

$20 off a custom blog design
$10 off any pre-made template

(Check out her holiday pre-mades!  Wonderful!)
$5 off her print line

Please go visit her site and fall in love with all of her work.  Oh, and she’s not done yet!  She’ll be back with another spectacular offer next month!  This girl is GOOD!  Having her design my blog was no accident. :)

Super cute! I just put up our small Christmas tree for the dining room, and now I'm feeling kind of guilty. But today I realized that there's only like 5 weeks {ok, maybe 6} before Christmas, and I started freaking out.

But now I'm thinking that maybe it's a bit too early, b/c I'm not ready to put away the fall stuff. :/

Adorable decorating. I like the FALL pumpkins. Target was having a 75% off sale on fall items this last week, and I scored a sweet wreath.

I agree--Decorating does not have to cost alot to look like it does.
It is another area that just requires patience--lots. Which I don't have at times. But.....it can be done.

Ugh, It's like they say... Don't know what you got til it's gone! OK, I knew what I had when I had it, but now that the holidays are among us, living on base in Japan seriously has me missing Target!!

110% agree on not spending money on holiday decor. I love getting the deals after the fact. It's just being patient enough to wait sometimes though, which can be hard.

Beautiful fall decor!

What?!!! That much for acorns? You've got to be kidding! I bet I have a "ma-gillion" dollars worth then laying around our ranch! Maybe I should bag those suckers up along with all the pinecones and make some cash! lol

I LOOOVEE your fall decorating. It is so warm and inviting, yet clean and uncluttered. Great Job!

Funny, I just posted on the same thing, fall decorations for cheap! Love em and I am so jealous, you have the FALL punpkins I wanted. I swear our Target just put them out as a teaser, they were sold out the 2nd day they had them displayed and kept saying they had ordered more but yet they never came in. Oh well maybe next year. I did find some neat stuff and can't wait til after Christmas mark downs! Have fun!

Love the simplicity of it. I totally enjoy how some people can put so much on a display, you know they kind that just overflow with stuff! But it's just not me, in my house. I love the less is more clean of decorating. Looks beautiful!

Where do you store all of cute stuff you have for each holiday? I guess my problem is finding room to store it all....
