My New Mudroom!

Look.  I’m the first to jump on a DIY project, but there are times when it’s just better to have someone else do it.  We paid more than we wanted to, but it was sooo worth it!  You ready for a tour?  Come on in!

Before we go any further, let me remind you of what this space looked like before.

IMG_2393 What was I so afraid of when we built this place?  GoodNESS!  All that dead space (you know how I feel about dead space) is now filled with hooks, cubbies, drawers, and cabinets.  Makes my heart skip a beat!

I’ve still got some finishing touches to add that I’ll post about when ready.  However, I’ll be back later this week to talk about this little lady.  She’s my new best friend.

NOw this is a mud room to be proud of girl! i know it sucks to pay for someone to do the extra projects but you could not have achieved this look with shelves you just buy and place there. It looks very solid and classic. oh and i'm drooling over the lamp and table accessories!

I just found your blog and it's adorable! I'm SO jealous of your mud room. We have a 2000 foot home in Silicon Valley with the smallest laundry room ever! I can't even turn around in it! But, if I did have a mud room, I would style it just like you did yours! Great cabinetry!

Unknown said...

I love your mudroom! Could you tell me what type of wood (and paint) you used to build this? I'm curious if your carpenter built the drawers and cabinets or if they were bought. I'm also from Michigan and enjoy reading your blog.

Thanks, Monica
